operation christmas child

Each year during the month of October you begin to see red and green shoeboxes filing our sanctuary and family life center. These boxes are selected by our church members and then filled to the top with toys and treats for children all over the world.

If you've never heard of this ministry, I encourage you to visit https://www.samaritans-purse.org.uk/who-we-are/our-history/history-of-operation-christmas-child/ and discover how it all began in 1990 with a father of four and developed into a ministry that supplies over 1 million children around the world with the message of Christ.

Our church also serves as a collection site for our area.

God has called each one of us to spread the gospel of Christ his Son to the ends of the earth. Maybe you can't physically go to other countries and nations to tell others about the love of God and how he sent his Son to save us, but you can give so that others may go. During the month of December and January we will be accepting donations for the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. Our Missions Team has set a goal for DWMBC at $15,000 this year. Will you pray about what you can contribute? This is a great way to honor or memorialize a loved one and share the love of Christ at the same time.
